Over the past few weeks we have all been very excited. Our roof space was being converted into an ATTIC! YIPPEE!!!
Finally the ATTIC was ready for us to put things up there and get organising!! We moved up all our picture and fiction books.
You might think that’s not a hard job. But you are wrong!!!
It is actually really hard! When you hold one book it is not heavy, but when you’re carrying five to ten books at a time, up an ATTIC ladder, it happens to be HARD.
Everyone in our family swapped jobs. One person passed books up to the person on the ladder. The person on the ladder then passed the books to a person in the ATTIC, then that person put those books on the floor. I was the first person to be on the ladder. It was all fun even though it was a bit hard.
When all the books were in the ATTIC, everyone came in and helped sort the books into alphabetical order by author. And finally, came the job of trying to fit the books on to the shelves.
This was fun, and we all had some good laughing, but eventually we ended up just squeezing the leftover books onto the shelves to be sorted later.
We have nine bookcases in our ATTIC and this is only for our fiction books!
