DIY Propagating Succulent Plants
Just recently I found out how to grow new succulent plants just using their leaves! It is really easy and so rewarding when the cute little plants pop up!
Carefully pick a few leaves off the ‘parent’ succulent plant and leave them somewhere dry and sunny, but preferably not in direct sunlight. Leave them for about four days to dry the broken off part where it was joined to the plant.
After four days, sit them on some moist soil. Keep the soil moist, but try not to let the water sit on the leaves or they will grow mould and go soggy.
After a couple of days you will see small roots starting to grow and then the little leaves will pop out. When the small plant is growing well the original leaf will shrivel up and die and you can plant the whole thing into a pot.
It is that easy! I can’t wait to make little succulent gardens with heaps of plants, and all for free!
